Services
The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) program is designed to help individuals prepare for, find, and keep employment while supporting employers with a skilled and qualified workforce. WIOA strengthens the connection between education, workforce training, and employment services to promote long-term economic success. Through WIOA funded programs, eligible individuals can access career coaching, job search assistance, training opportunities, and supportive services that lead to in-demand careers and sustainable wages.
Career Services – provide resources to help individuals prepare for job searches and employability skills to become gainfully employed. Career Services offer resume help, job search, career coaching/counseling, and interview preparation skills.
Individual Training Accounts ITA’s – Individual Training Account (ITA) is a Scholarship program that provides financial assistance to eligible individuals who need to obtain new skills or, upgrade their current skills and obtain certifications in an in-demand field of study. A ITA can help individuals gain the career skills needed to connect them with employment at an income level that offers a livable wage. Financial support for tuition, books, fees and other costs to help you access the training needed for in-demand jobs.
On the Job Training – On-the-Job Training (OJT) program provides financial assistance to employers who agree to hire an eligible unskilled or under-skilled individual and train them while they work. At the end of the training period and a 40-hour retention period, the program will reimburse the employer 50% of the wage paid to the employee while they are being trained. This program allows employers to train new employees to their specifications and receive financial assistance while doing so.
Reconnect Training: Short-term, focused training in high-demand careers a clear pathway to employment.
Internships – Internship program gives participants an opportunity to work and gain useful skills. The goal is to help eligible individuals gain practical work history and obtain job specific skills followed by unsubsidized employment following the internship program.
