About
We offer two machining workforce trainings: CNC Machine Operator and Quality Technician. Both programs have a Level 1 for entry level participants and a Level 2 for participants who would like to further their knowledge and training.
CNC Machine Operator Training
Level 1 CNC Machine Operator Training is a 161-hour training program designed to give participants the job readiness skills for an entry level CNC Machine Operator career. This training includes both classroom lecture and hands-on shop lab training.
Level 2 CNC Machine Operator Training is a 150-hour program that provides continued training for participants. Participants will receive hands-on experience setting up and operating CNC machines to produce high-precision parts. Troubleshooting and maintenance of equipment.
Quality Technician
Level 1 Quality Technician is 120-hour training that designed to give the participants job readiness skills for an entry level Quality Assurance Technician. This training includes both classroom lecture and hands-on shop lab training that includes: Statistical Processing Control, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerances, Precision Measurement 2, and more.
Level 2 Quality Technician is a 100-hour program that provides continued training for participants and focuses on Quality Systems. Classroom and hands-on lab training includes: Gage Calibration, Statistical Process Control 2, and Quality Control Concepts.
Classroom & Hand-on Training
These programs will consist of classroom instruction and Hands-on training to reinforce classroom training and provide actual equipment operation.

Completion Certification
Training Requirements
- Must be 18+ years of age
- Must have valid driver’s license
- NCRC Silver or higher
- Manufacturing Skills Basic Certificate or completion of Blueprint Reading and Precision Measurement
If applying for CNC Level 2, you must have successfully completed CNC Level 1
All Workforce training courses require 90% attendance to receive completion certifications

How to Enroll
This training is currently available through Reconnect Grant. To enroll, please complete the following steps:
- Contact Your Local WIN Job Center
Reach out to the Jackson, Rankin, or Vicksburg WIN Job Center and ask about enrolling in the Reconnect Training. - Complete Reconnect Paperwork
Submit all required documentation to the WIN Job Center. Once approved, you will receive a registration link by email. - Register for the Class
Use the registration link provided to sign up for the training. A confirmation email from Canvas will follow once your registration is complete. - Log into Canvas
Access your Canvas account. The training will appear on your dashboard. - Upload Pre-Class Documentation
Click on the training listed on your dashboard and upload all required documents before the class begins.

Once all steps are complete, you are officially enrolled and ready to begin training.
