Literature in the Library

This event is sponsored by the Rankin campus English department as part of Black History celebrations. Students read from selected works by African American authors and share with others their interpretations of and connections to the works. In addition to the readings, this event will focus on African Americans’ influence on Gospel music. This will include a history of Gospel music and members of the Hinds chorus will perform a selection of songs.
