Andrew Head, a tenor, is the director of choral activities at Hinds Community College where he conducts three ensembles: the Collegiate Choir, the Chamber Choir, and the Clefs. Mr. Head also teaches private voice lessons and class voice.

Mr. Head has performed opera, oratorio, musical theatre, and recitals throughout the United States. Operatic roles include Governor Danforth, Abu Hassan, Lescaut, Vicar Gedge, Papageno, Scalpin, Alcindoro, Benoit, and Rev. John Hale. Scenes include performances of the Duke, Sam, Enée, Riccardo, Don José, Werther, and Figaro. Most recently, Mr. Head performed as the tenor soloist in Schubert’s Mass in G.

Mr. Head’s voice teachers include Jack li Vigni, Nicholas Simpson, Paul Houghtaling, and Sandra Walker. His vocal coaches include Kristin Roach, Chuck Dillard, Richard Masters, Kevin Chance, Kristen Ditlow, Corey Battey, and Jeanne Sasaki. Mr. Head has performed in master classes with Marc Verzatt, Cynthia Clayton, Shawn Marie Jeffrey, Edward White, and Martha Wade. Stage Directors include Cindy Sadler, Leon Major, Doug Scholz-Carlson, Bruce Cain, Josh Miller, Lance Hargis, Susan Gonzalez, and Tina Fitch. Mr. Head studied conducting with Dr. Gerald Welker.
