The Community Relations department is the official connection between the community and the college. Community Relations provides a range of services to tell the story of Hinds Community College. These services include:
- News content (feature stories, event coverage, press releases)
- Print design
- Social media
- Web design

Event Coverage Request
To request coverage of your event by Community Relations, your event must first be approved through Navigator. To begin the event approval process,
- Go to Navigator, search for the task “Create Request” and click “All.”
- Select Event Request and answer the questions as they appear.
- Once your event has been approved you will receive a notification in Navigator with a link to the Community Relations Event Coverage Request form.
