Hinds CC’s Utica Campus recognized students with the inaugural Walter Washington Achievement Awards.
The Alpha Beta Xi Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa at Hinds Community College’s Utica Campus inducted new members on April 13.

As part of the March 23 annual Founder’s Day celebration, Hinds Community College’s Utica Campus unveiled a state-approved historical marker near the iconic Bell Tower.
The Raymond Campus Art Department selected 23 2-D works and five ceramics pieces for the show. Eight other community colleges participated in the 2023 MCCAIA.
Three Rankin County high school students won full tuition scholarships for a year to Hinds Community College after placing first place in the annual Literary Festival on March 31 on the Rankin Campus.
Membership in Phi Theta Kappa is extended to students who have a 3.5 cumulative grade point average or above on 12 or more transferable credit hours.
There are more than 1,285 Phi Theta Kappa chapters throughout the United States and abroad.
The exhibit began on Feb. 20 and continues through March 22 with a closing reception at 2 p.m.
