Men of Excellence
The Men of Excellence (MOX) is organized to continually strengthen the bonds between men and develop leaders through community service, while increasing cultural awareness both academically and socially at Hinds Community College.
Men of Excellence will:
- Provide a positive atmosphere that will strengthen the bonds between men
- Create a network between the students, staff and faculty
- Develop leaders, improve communication and collaboration
- Strengthen values and self-esteem
This builds a community that focuses on self-reflection, identity development, and celebrating the cultural influences that shape the lives of MOX.
Purpose
The MOX organization is a group of young men at Hinds Community College that are lead to become leaders as they move toward their career goals. Their pledge statement sums up their existence:
Men of Excellence is an organization of men from Hinds Community College that will perform in excellent ways and lead by example for other men. We set the standard for ourselves high, so that others after us will have something positive to see.
