Neilsen Scholarships
Overview
The mission of the Craig H. Neilsen Foundation is to improve the quality of life for those living with spinal cord injury and support scientific exploration for effective therapies and treatments leading to a cure. Hinds Community College received Neilsen Foundation funds in 2014. Each year, current and prospective Hinds Community College students living with spinal cord injury may apply for Neilsen scholarship and supplemental funds to assist them with alleviating barriers to academic success.
Criteria
- Students are eligible for the Neilsen Foundation Scholarship if they have experienced a spinal cord injury that impacts daily living and academic engagement.
- Documentation of the disability will be required.
- Applicants must complete the Neilsen Scholarship Application.
