Valedictorian & Salutatorian Scholarships

Hinds Community College is proud to offer a full-tuition scholarship to eligible high school seniors graduating as Valedictorian or Salutatorian from a high school located in the Hinds Community College District (Hinds, Rankin, Warren, Claiborne, and Copiah counties).

STEM Scholarships

The Hinds CC UC3T STEM-UP Initiative is sponsored by a grant from the National Science Foundation and is designed to increase the number of minority students who complete Associate Degrees on the Utica Campus and who are prepared to pursue a B.S. degree in STEM areas at four-year institutions.

Each year, current and prospective Hinds Community College students living with spinal cord injury may apply for Neilsen scholarship and supplemental funds to assist them with alleviating barriers to academic success.

Foundation Scholarships are given by the Hinds Community College Foundation and are awarded on a competitive basis to students who demonstrate academic excellence, involvement in extracurricular activities, financial need, and a desire for achievement.

Career & Technical Competition Winner Scholarships
Scholarships

The Career and Technical Competition Winner Scholarship is awarded on a competitive basis to first-time freshmen who placed first in a Skills USA, HOSA, FLBLA, DECA, FFA, or TSA competitive event while enrolled in a high school career or technical program.

Athletic Scholarships
Scholarships

Scholarships are awarded in baseball, basketball, football, golf, soccer, softball, tennis, and track. Students must meet eligibility rules of the National and Mississippi Junior College Athletic Associations.
