“I liked how they talked about developing relationships with their students,” she said. “I found that with everyone we’ve talked to. I got the impression that everyone here has an intention to look after students, like, they aren’t going to overlook my son if they see him struggling. I like that a lot.”

Phi Theta Kappa is the international honor society for community and junior college students.
Hinds Community College recently held the Tammy McPherson Writing Competition among the college’s campuses.
The musical “Dogfight” will run April 16-April 19 with four evening performances at Brooks Theatre on the Raymond Campus.
