Work-Based Learning is an educational/training program for Career and Technical students at Hinds CC that provides paid, on-the-job work experience. All students must be recommended by their major instructor, and all work experience must be in the field of their major.

Cooperative Education is an educational process designed to expand the student’s learning environment beyond the traditional classroom. Co-op integrates classroom study with supervised on-the-job experience that is related to the student’s academic college major.

Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act

The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) program at Hinds CC works with the local WIN Job Center and Central MS Planning and Development District (CMPDD). The WIOA provides services such as employment training for adults, dislocated workers and youth.
