The Hinds CC Rock Bands were first formed in Fall 2008 by Paul Heindl and Shane Sprayberry. The program was a direct result of a music technology collaboration between Hinds and Bridgwater College in Somerset, England.

Vocal Study at Hinds CC is taught on a variety of levels based upon the needs and development of the student. Some students begin vocal studies in class voice and progress to private lessons as technical facility and musicianship develop.
