Hinds Community College Aviation Department, the Aviation Chapter of Hinds Community College Alumni Association and the FAAST Safety Team will conduct an eight-hour Inspection Authorization (IA) Refresher Training Course. This seminar is open to IA’s. A&P’s, AMT pilots and all friends of aviation. This will be an excellent training event and an opportunity to renew friendships.
This seminar will satisfy the requirements of FAR 65.93 for the IA Renewal due in March 2025.
Registration
A registration fee of $50 covering the cost of materials, facility usage and breaks is required. Excess funds will go toward the scholarship fund of Hinds Community College Aviation Alumni Chapter. Pre-Seminar Event – Fellowship Fish Fry
Wednesday, February 28, the Aviation Chapter of Hinds Community College Alumni Association will sponsor a fish fry for the 2024 IA Refresher Training attendees and sponsors. This event is included “free” with your paid registration, yet donations will be accepted. The event will begin at 6 p.m. at the Hinds CC Aviation Maintenance/Classroom Hangar, John Bell Williams Airport (KJVW). When registering, please indicate if you will attend. This will help us plan for the food.
Breakfast
Light breakfast items and beverages will be available at 7 a.m. prior to the meeting.
Lunch Buffet
A buffet lunch will be available at Eagle Ridge Conference Center at a cost of $30 per person. When registering, please indicate that you will be attending the lunch buffet. The lunch menu will include Chicken Marsala, Yankee Style Pot Roast, Tossed Green Salad, Loaded Baked Potato Casserole, Southern Style Seasoned Green Beans, Rolls, Bread Pudding, Tea/Coffee.
Transportation
Transportation will be provided to and from John Bell Williams Airport (KJVW) and the Eagle Ridge Conference Center. Call 601-857-3712 the morning of the seminar. Transportation will also be provided from Eagle Ridge Conference Center to the fish fry.
