FAQs

What do I do if I experience any Website Accessibility issues in this site?

What is my HindsNet ID?
Your HindsNet ID is the first initial of your last name followed by your seven-digit Hinds ID number.

Where do I go to log into My.Hinds?
Look for the My.Hinds link located in the site navigation. Students can also go directly to My.Hindscc.edu and login with your HindsNet credentials.

Can I reset my password on my own?
On the My.Hinds login page, click ‘Password Reset.’ Log in with your HindsNet credentials. Once inside, enroll in the Password Reset Program. After you have enrolled, you will be able to change your password.

How do I log into my email?
Sign into your My.Hinds account and click the icon labeled ‘Email.’ Login to your email using your HindsNet ID followed by @hindscc.edu and your password.

How do I register for classes through My.Hinds?
Login to your My.Hinds account and click the icon labeled ‘Student Planning.’ Under the Student Planning dropdown menu, select ‘Plan & Schedule.’ For more information, view the video tutorial on Student Planning on the My.Hinds ‘Help’ page.

How do I check my financial aid balance through My.Hinds?
Login to your My.Hinds account and click the icon labeled ‘Financial Aid.’ You will be able to view your financial aid balance, request student loans, and view any missing documents. For more information, view the video tutorial on Financial Aid on the My.Hinds ‘Help’ page.

How do set up a payment plan through My.Hinds?
Login to your My.Hinds account and click the icon labeled ‘Student Finance.’ Under the Student Finance dropdown menu, select ‘Payment Plan.’ For more information, view the video tutorial on Student Finance on the My.Hinds ‘Help’ page.

Can I sync my email to my phone?
Yes, visit the the Hinds CC Bridge to find out how to sync your Apple and Android devices.

What is GameNet and how do I gain access to it?
GameNet is a gaming connection that is only available in the residence halls. You must submit your MAC address to the Support Center to be added to GameNet. Find your MAC address in the settings menu of your gaming device. Email your MAC address, your full name & ID number, and your residence hall to support@hindscc.edu.

How long does it take for my console to be added to GameNet and ready to connect?
It normally takes about 24-48 hours before you will be able to connect your console after submitting your MAC address.

The Support Center is closed, but I need help. What do I do?
The Support Center offers round the clock support through email. Email your questions or concerns to support@hindscc.edu and someone will be able to assist you.

 

Tech Checklist for Success

Devices

We highly recommend laptops and tablets for coursework purposes.
You may purchase devices from your campus bookstore while supplies last. Visit the computer labs in your library/media center.

Also, you may check out laptops from your campus library. See your library for details.

For the best experience, we recommend Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome.

HindsNet Credentials

You will receive your HindsNet credentials, which contains your username and password, by mail once you are admitted to Hinds.

Password Reset Program

Be sure to change your initial password! Enroll yourself in the password reset program through My.Hinds.

Hinds Email

This is the official channel of communications between the college and you!

Mobile Apps

Download the Ellucian GO mobile app and have HCC in the palm of your hand!

My.Hinds

Access your classes, financial aid, and links to other services.

Office365

This contains your Hinds email, Microsoft apps, OneDrive cloud storage, and OneNote.

WEPA

Print kiosks are located on your campus.
Print from home or campus and pick up from your campus kiosk.
You are provided funding to use for printing and may also add funds.
