RAYMOND – Hinds Community College sophomore Campbell McCoy of Vicksburg is one of 220 Phi Theta Kappa members nationally named as a 2025 Coca-Cola Leaders of Promise Scholar. A Raymond Campus student, she is receiving a $1,000 scholarship.

The Coca-Cola Leaders of Promise Scholarship Program helps new Phi Theta Kappa members defray educational expenses while enrolled in associate degree programs. Scholars are encouraged to assume leadership roles by participating in Society programs and are selected based on scholastic achievement, community service, and leadership potential. More than 600 applications were received.

At Hinds, McCoy is the president of Raymond Campus Gamma Lambda Phi Theta Kappa chapter, a regional officer for the Mississippi/Louisiana region of PTK, an Honors program member and a member of the Lead Team for Hinds Connection, the college’s student recruiting and public relations group.

McCoy will graduate from Hinds in May 2026. She plans to continue her education in radiological technology.
