Commercial Aviation

About

In the Commercial Aviation program at Hinds Community College, you can earn a two-year Associate’s of Arts degree and a private pilot license. You’ll also be able to transfer credits to other four-year programs in pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree and advanced pilot ratings. We even have an articulation agreement with Delta State University to facilitate such a transfer.

Regardless of where you currently are in your aviation career, our program will give you the essential education and experience you’ll need to thrive. You’ll get all the ground-level education you need to launch your career as a commercial pilot. Our program is located in the hangar facilities at John Bell Williams Airport, which is owned and operated by Hinds Community College. We own several aircraft and items of simulation to support the program’s training mission, and we employ a staff of FAA certified instructors and technicians.
