ACT Scholarships
Overview
Hinds Community College is proud to offer the ACT Scholarship to eligible, first-time freshmen students.
Scholarship | ACT Composite Score or Superscore | Total Scholarship Package |
---|---|---|
ACT Faculty Scholarship | 20—23 | $4,000 |
ACT Dean’s Scholarship | 24—27 | $6,000 |
ACT Presidential Scholarship | 28 and above | $12,000 |
* The amounts listed above are divided equally over 4 consecutive semesters (excluding Summer terms).
Hinds uses either the ACT composite score or superscore to determine eligibility for the ACT Freshman Scholarship. An ACT superscore is the average of a student’s highest sub-scores in each of the four subject areas from all of their ACT attempts. Students are encouraged to submit all official ACT scores to Hinds so a superscore can be calculated.
