RAYMOND – Hinds Community College has been named tops for 2021 in surveys on its online class offerings and its Animation & Simulation Design Technology programs.
Nashville-based Premium Schools, a clearinghouse for information on colleges and degree programs available on the web, rated Hinds the best community college in Mississippi for online courses.
The survey made note of the college’s 500 or more online courses through the Mississippi Virtual Community College and the diversity of career and technical education courses available virtually.
Utah-based Best Value Schools, an independent academic research group, rated Hinds tops out of 20 two-year schools nationwide that offer the program. Programs were rated on tuition per credit hour, graduation rate and class size.
The group made note of the Hinds program’s focus on creative game design and availability on both the Rankin and Vicksburg-Warren campuses.
