RAYMOND – Andrea Janoush began work in February as vice president of Human Resources at Hinds Community College.

A Texas transplant who attended the University of Mississippi, Janoush has both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration from Ole Miss.

“We’re very fortunate to have someone of Andrea’s caliber join our team,” said Hinds President Dr. Stephen Vacik. “She has already demonstrated the ability to balance professionalism with personal care for others. The Human Resources department at Hinds is well positioned for many years to come under her leadership.”

Janoush said she was attracted by the college’s newly revised mission statement. “Hinds Community College is committed to moving people and communities forward by helping develop their purpose, passion and profession.”

“That really stuck with me because that’s what I love about my job – that I can really help people move their career forward and change their lives by just giving them the opportunities to do better and to excel in their career. That’s my passion: helping people to be the best they can be,” she said.

Janoush and her family including husband Will, a lawyer, and children Bradford, 8, and Mary Alyce, 5, live in Madison.
