Hinds Community College President Dr. Stephen Vacik and Vice President of Workforce Development and Governmental Affairs Dr. Ginger Robbins recently discussed the impact of the newly minted federal Workforce Pell Grant program with Mississippi Public Broadcasting’s Tiara Jackson, a Hinds alum and Miss Hinds Community College 2022. They highlighted how the program expands Pell Grant eligibility to include students pursuing high-demand, short-term career training tracks, like Hinds’ popular electrical line worker program, tearing down financial barriers and quickly fueling pipelines into high-wage careers right here at home.
