RAYMOND – Nyla Griffin, of Chicago, was selected as Most Beautiful in the annual Hinds Community College Eagle Beauty Revue pageant on Thursday, March 11.

2021 Beauties

Griffin, 20, is a Raymond Campus sophomore majoring in criminal justice. She is a graduate of West Aurora High School. At Hinds, she is the Vice President of the Student Government Association, a member of I.D.E.A.L. Woman, and was crowned the 2020 Homecoming Queen. Her parents are Charles Griffin and Sarah Griffin.

Those selected as beauties were Bethani Grace Alman, Kylee Cunningham, Abigail Farr, Janessa Kersh, April Lee, and Aaliyah Newsome.

Alman, 18, is a Rankin Campus sophomore studying psychology. She is a graduate of Brandon High School. At Hinds, she is a member of Phi Theta Kappa, the Honors Program, and is a President’s Scholar. Her parents are Buck Alman and Amanda Newby.

Cunningham, 19, is a Raymond Campus sophomore with plans to study Radiologic Technology. She is a graduate of Raymond High School where she was a member of the Ultimate Soul Band and the Choir. At Hinds, she is a member of the Hi-Steppers. Her parent is Christy Cunningham.

Farr, 18, is a Raymond Campus freshman. She is a graduate of Clinton High School where she was a member of the 2019 6A State Volleyball Championship team. At Hinds, she is a member of Hinds Connection. Her parents are Alan and Tara Farr.

Kersh, 19, is a Raymond Campus freshman studying biology. She is a graduate of Terry High School. At Hinds, she is a member of the Hi-Steppers, I.D.E.A.L. Woman, and was a Freshman Maid on the 2020 Homecoming Court. Her parents are Tracy and Tijuana Kersh.

Lee, 19, is a Raymond Campus sophomore studying to be a physical therapist. At Hinds, she serves as a captain for the Hi-Steppers, is a member of Phi Theta Kappa, named to Who’s Who Among Students, and selected as a 3E Outstanding Student. Her parents are Jack and Michelle Lee.

Newsome, 19, is a Raymond Campus sophomore studying biology. She is a graduate of Hillcrest Christian School. At Hinds, she is a member of Hinds Connection, Montage Theatre of Dance, Psi Beta, Phi Theta Kappa, and the Honors Program. She is the daughter of Sonya and Alton Newsome.
