Career Coach and Counselor Workshop

The purpose of the Counselor and Principal Workshop is to connect high school counselors, principals, and administrators with Hinds Community College to understand better the programs, resources, services, and opportunities available to their students. This event provides school partners with important updates on admissions, enrollment, academic pathways, career and technical programs, scholarships, student support services, campus involvement, and other resources that help students successfully transition from high school to college.

Through presentations, breakout sessions, campus updates, and opportunities to engage with Hinds faculty and staff, participants will gain information they can take back to their schools to better guide and support prospective students. The workshop also strengthens partnerships between Hinds Community College and area high schools by creating space for collaboration, questions, and shared goals for student success.
