The eLearning Department provides extended educational opportunities for students by utilizing technology in or out of the classroom. The office encompasses the services of Instructional Technology, Instructional Design, Media Services, and Distance Learning.

How to enroll in online courses

500 online courses

Hinds Community College offers nearly 500 online class sections each fall, spring, and summer semester through the Mississippi Virtual Community College (MSVCC), a consortium of 15 Mississippi community colleges that offers Internet based courses. To search for online courses in a full-term, 8-week, or 4-week format, please visit Student Planning in MyHinds and filter by "virtual" term or "online" location.

With the exception of occasional proctored exams, the courses are online and accessible from any computer with an Internet connection. Hinds participation in the MSVCC gives our students an extensive selection of courses from which to choose to accomplish their educational objectives.

You can earn these degrees 100% online:

Associate of Art Degree (academic degree transferrable to over 170 bachelor degree programs in Mississippi)
