Class guitar is designed for beginning guitar students who have never played, or students who already play but do not read music for guitar. This class emphasizes building a solid technical foundation for solo playing and learning to read music.

The Jazz Ensemble is comprised of 20-30 of the best instrumental musicians on the Raymond Campus. In traditional big band format, emphasis is placed on providing exposure for the musicians to most forms of jazz styles.
The Eagle Marching Band meets during the fall semester on the Raymond Campus. Hinds CC is exceedingly proud of its marching band, and rightfully so. Week after week the band dazzles audiences with its halftime shows, featuring the finest precision corps-style marching, playing, choreography and color guard work.
The Hinds CC Department of Music and Dance offers a variety of scholarships and awards that you can apply towards your cost of attendance. All of our institutional awards can be stacked with other awards, grants, etc., to form a very appealing financial aid package.
