Hinds CC Band
Program of Study

The Hinds Community College Band is one of the oldest and most popular student organizations on the Raymond Campus. With concert groups beginning in the 1930s and marching units being formed in the 1940s, the tradition and history of Hinds bands is based in quality and excellence.

Choir
Program of Study

We have two main choral ensembles, the Collegiate Choir and the Hinds Harmony Choir. The Collegiate Choir is the largest choir at Hinds CC and the best fit for most students. Hinds Harmony is the premiere ensemble of experienced choral singers, performing challenging choral literature from the Renaissance to the present.

Music Industry

Our Music Industry-Recording Arts program offers students an opportunity to receive training on industry-standard equipment. Our faculty are comprised of a rich combination of performing musicians, recording engineers, and music professionals who work to encourage, motivate and inspire the student whose goal is a career in the music industry.

The Hinds CC Department of Music & Dance offers many organizations for students interested in ensemble performance. Various small ensembles are developed each semester in the areas of brass, woodwinds, percussion, guitar, and voice.

The Dr. George Ball Simulation Center provides a dedicated environment for health care students and community providers to learn strategies, which enhances patient safety and the quality of health care through the use of high-fidelity simulation technology.
