Campus Police

Our police departments have adopted a Community Policing philosophy in order to ensure the safety and security of our students and campus employees and visitors. The Police Department strives to work with our faculty, staff and students to ensure a safe environment where students can learn, study and grow in all areas.

Account Services

The Account Service offers offers several services to the students, faculty and staff; we are responsible for the billings and processing of tuition and fee payments, third party billings, and the disbursement of excess financial aid and all other refunds.

Our objective is to provide workforce training as well as career and technical education to the people located in Hinds CC’s district. It is our goal to ensure our population has the 21st century skills needed to secure, retain and advance in their chosen career pathway providing an improved quality of life.

College History
About the College

Our history began in September 1917 when Hinds County Agricultural High School opened in the small town of Raymond. These humble beginnings included an Administration Building, two dormitories, and a dairy barn, eight faculty and 117 students.

Hinds Community College academic faculty are required to hold a master’s degree and to have 18 graduate hours in their teaching field or demonstrate a depth of knowledge.

Hinds Community College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award the Associate of Arts degree, the Associate of Applied Science degree and Technical and Career certificates.


Our Utica Campus has a rich heritage and has evolved into a progressive college location with all the perks of a complete campus environment. The Utica campus, formerly Utica Junior College, was founded in 1903 as Utica Normal and Industrial Institute and is the oldest of Hinds CC’s six locations.


Our Vicksburg-Warren campus, a commuter campus, offers a wide variety of programs to help you reach your educational and career goals. In addition, we work to meet the workforce needs of our local businesses and industries through specialized skill training.


Raymond is a small campus but offers big opportunities and a traditional college experience. Whether you commute or live in one of our eight residence halls, there’s a way for you to get involved.


We are committed to providing a quality education with a personal approach. The Rankin Campus is a commuter campus that offers small classroom sizes and highly qualified and caring faculty.

The Nursing & Allied Health Center provides accessible, affordable, quality education with an emphasis on healthcare careers. Our mission is to prepare individuals to become competent caring healthcare providers.

At our Jackson Campus – Academic & Technical Center (ATC), we live by the motto “ small campus, big heart”. Here, you will find that you are not a number, but are part of a unique family environment!


We offer six locations for you to choose from with campuses in Jackson, Pearl, Raymond, Utica, and Vicksburg. Choose to commute or live in our residence halls, which are located on our Raymond and Utica Campuses.
