We live in a world where gender, ethnicity, religion, and other differences are not respected. Because of this, Safe Spaces are needed for students seeking support, understanding, and a moment to recharge.
The Hinds Community College Safe Spaces Ally Program is a network of faculty and staff members willing to be visibly supportive and affirming of our students seeking an outlet away from discrimination, criticism, harassment, or any other emotional or physical harm. Allies seek to foster a campus climate in which community members feel safe, supported and respected.
