Single Stop, the One Stop Resource Center for Help

At Single Stop, we offer supportive services to ensure that you have a successful college experience and are able to complete your degree. We provide free referrals to services that can help address the needs of Hinds students so that they can remain in school and succeed academically.

Office Hours

Monday - Friday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Walk-ins are welcome during normal office hours.

Tax Prep

January through the 1st week of April we host Volunteer Income Tax Assistance(VITA) sites. You can have your taxes prepared and filed for free by an IRS-certified volunteer preparer. Appointments can be scheduled by office visit or by calling 601.857.3247.  During tax season, the Single Stop Office accommodates the community with extended hours! 

Raymond: Monday-Wednesday, and Friday
Jackson: Monday-Wednesday, and Friday
Vicksburg/Utica: Thursday

Saturdays are available and will be offered when you schedule your appointment.

Community Closet

The Hinds Community College Single Stop Office includes a new service for eligible students. Located on the Raymond Campus, the closet contains a wardrobe of gently used business professional, casual, seasonal, and active wear clothing items that are available for the purpose of donating them to the student body.
