Graphic design students place in art contest

Nine Hinds Community College graphic design students won awards at the 2012 Mississippi Community/Junior College Art Instructors Student Competitive Art Exhibition, which was held from March 7-23 at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in Gautier.

Among the winners were Audrey Foster of Jackson, second place in painting and mixed media; Megan White of Clinton and Amber Henry of Terry, first and second place in 2D design; Kristy Ratliff of Jackson and John Reed of Vicksburg, second and third place in graphic art; Tabitha Yarber of Jackson, second place in printmaking; Rebecca Traylor and Kayla Boler, both of Vicksburg, second place and honorable mention in photography; and Candace Wade of Vicksburg, first place in ceramics.
