Applicants must be prepared for physical activity such as frequent standing, walking, lifting, pushing and pulling, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling and crouching. The applicant's vision, speech and hearing must be within normal range with or without correction. There must be color perception and the ability to effectively communicate the English language, both orally and written. Strong communication skills are essential.
Minimum requirements for applicants include:
Complete an Hinds CC Application for Admission and submit it to the Office of Admissions and Records address located in the top right corner of the application, and, submitting an application for selection to the Nursing/Allied Health Center.
ACT composite score of 19 (16 if taken prior to October 1989.)
Proof of high school graduation or GED equivalent.
Proof of graduation from an accredited 2-year Radiologic Technology program.
Verification of ARRT registration or registry eligible status, pending passing ARRT Registry Exam.
Completion of the following college courses with a "C" or higher in each course: Selection will be based on date of completion of all entrance requirements.
- College Algebra (3 semester hours)
- Human Anatomy and Physiology I and Lab (4 semester hours)
- Human Anatomy and Physiology II and Lab (4 semester hours)
