Hinds Community College extends an invitation to you to join its Life Long Learning Institute. It is an organization designed for active men and women age 50(+) in retirement or semi-retirement, who want to explore new learning experiences and develop new friendships.

Curriculum includes such areas of study as fine arts, history, computers, horticulture, genealogy, languages, investments, fitness, and more. Special interest can be found in such areas as art, bowling, book reviews, crafts, dulcimers, recreation, travel to learn, wellness (health and fitness) and much more.

This program also conducts five to six fun and informative lecture-luncheons annually, as well as special party events and more.

Our new Choices Forum utilizes resources from the Watson Institute for International Studies, Brown University that provide topic supplements and materials to promote and enhance wonderful peer-led discussion on a wide variety of U.S, World and Global issues.CLR operates on a 12-month schedule with an open membership policy. Membership benefits include discounts and privileges at the Eagle Ridge Golf Course, Mayo Field House-Olympic size swimming pool (indoor / heated) and fitness center, as well as Hinds Community College cultural, sporting and theatrical events. Special dining discounts, access to the Learning Resource Center (full service library and media lab), and much more.

Registration is easy! Register by telephone, mail, or on-site in the CLR office located in the Hinds Community College Adult Education Center on the Southeast corner of Main Street and Hinds Blvd across from the Raymond Campus and the Eagle Quick Stop. CLR is open to all active retired or semi-retired adults (age 50+).

No transcripts or particular level of education is needed, just a desire to stay active and learn new things! We also offer gift certificates toward membership (full or partial sponsorship).
