Scholarships
Foundation Scholarships are one of the most abundant sources of scholarships offered. The Hinds Community College Foundation seeks to enhance the educational mission of Hinds Community College in many ways but primarily by awarding scholarships to deserving students.
The Foundation Scholarships listed below require the following documents unless otherwise noted:

Application for Foundation Scholarships, which includes a summary of why you feel you should be considered for this scholarship, list of achievements and statement of financial need, if applicable.

ACT scores (or GED scores, if applicable)

Three recommendations from individuals representing school, church, community, civic, work, etc. It is the student’s responsibility to make sure their recommendations have been submitted by appropriate deadlines.

Foundation Scholarships (General) are awarded on a competitive basis to students who are involved in extracurricular activities, have a desire for achievement, show excellence in the classroom and/or have a need for financial assistance. Students wishing to be considered on the basis of financial need should have their FAFSA results sent to the Office of Financial Aid. Deadline is March 1.
CN Scholarships are awarded to students who are enrolled in one of the following programs: automotive machinist, diesel equipment, welding, electrical technology, electronics technology or machine tool technology. Students must be enrolled full-time, be a Mississippi resident and demonstrate financial need by having FAFSA results sent to the Office of Financial Aid. Applications are accepted until funds are exhausted.
Vicksburg Medical Foundation Scholarships are awarded to students who are enrolled in the traditional Associate Degree Nursing program or the Transition to RN Option. Students must demonstrate financial need by having their FAFSA results sent to the Office of Financial Aid. Applications are accepted until funds are exhausted.
Trustmark Bank Scholarships are awarded to students who meet the following requirements: graduate of a Hinds, Madison, Rankin or Warren county high school and hold residence in one of these Counties; have an overall GPA of 2.0 or above; have a 12 or above ACT composite score; have no record of disciplinary problems; are from a household with a combined income of $47,040 or less for Hinds, Madison, and Rankin County residents and $33,760 or less for Warren County Residents; have FAFSA results sent to the Office of Financial Aid; and must be enrolled as a full-time student. Applications are accepted until funds are exhausted. (Letters of recommendation not required.)
