Recent reports show that students attending Mississippi Community Colleges perform better than the national average with completion. According to Dr. Eric Clark, Executive Director of the Mississippi Community College Board, “…our fifteen community colleges’ total completion rate is ranked fifth in the country.”

At Hinds CC, we want our students to succeed in their programs of study and attain their goals. Those goals may include graduating from Hinds CC and transferring on to a four-year college or university, completing a career or technical certificate program and entering the workforce or attending college to refresh or sharpen skills from prior learning.

Whatever your goal, if you’re looking for a supportive environment to help you to get ready for the next stage of your life, Hinds CC can help you find it. With programs and services, such as our Counseling and Advising Services, Learning Assistance Centers, Single Stop USA and Career Center, we strive to direct students to the help that they need to overcome barriers to their success. These services help students handle internal barriers such as deciding on a career pathway and financing their education. They also address external barriers like child care and transportation. By utilizing these services more and more of our students are successfully completing their programs of study and entering the workforce or transferring to a four-year college or university. Our number of graduates has grown from less than 2,000 in 2011 to more than 2,700 three years later.

So, whether you've just completed high school, are transferring to Hinds CC from another college, or are an adult just getting started in college, we are very concerned about your success.
