Registration is open now for more than 60 academic and career-technical second eight-week classes at Hinds Community College. The FastTrack classes, covering the same amount of material but in a more compressed time frame, begin on Oct. 13.

Hinds is offering a number of academic classes spread among several of the district’s six locations. Among those courses are Anatomy & Physiology II with a lab, Spanish I, Principles of Chemistry I with a lab, World Civilization II, public speaking and music appreciation.

A number of career-technical courses are being offered at the Rankin and Raymond campuses. Among those are welding and electrical courses at the Rankin Campus Career & Technical Building and barbering and automotive courses at the Raymond Campus.

The courses are open to current students as well as students new to Hinds Community College and can be paid for with approved financial aid. For information contact district Financial Aid at 601.857.3223 or the financial aid office at each location.

Current students can register through the Web. New students will need to talk to an adviser first but can then also register through the Web.
