Paula L. Duren of Raymond, Hinds Community College Raymond Campus art instructor and director of Marie Hull Gallery, was selected HCC's 2008 Humanities Teacher of the Year.

She will deliver the Mississippi Humanities Council lecture 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, in Room 16, 5 Reeves Hall, Raymond Campus. Following this year's Kaleidoscope theme, "China: An Emerging World Power," Duren will discuss China's famed sculptures, the Terracotta Army of the Qin Dynasty.

A reception honoring Duren will follow immediately in Marie Hull Gallery.
