Hinds Diamond Darlings participate in fundraiser

04/15/08 The Hinds Community College Diamond Darlings participated in the Komen Race for the Cure on Saturday, April 5 at Trustmark Park in Pearl. The Diamond Darlings assist the Eagles baseball program by greeting fans as they enter the stadium, working the concession stand, gathering foul balls during game action and other duties.

The Komen Race for the Cure raises significant funds and awareness for the fight against breast cancer, celebrates breast cancer survivorship and honors those who have lost their battle with the disease.

The Diamond Darlings are sponsored by Michelle Fortenberry, who also serves as an academic counselor on the Raymond Campus of Hinds Community College.
