Utica Campus schedules Arts and Humanities Week

The Hinds Community College Utica Campus includes a health fair along with this year's Arts and Humanities Week, April 19-24, which presents a slate of music, arts, crafts, drama and dance events in and around the Fine Arts Complex and the Holtzclaw Library.

A special exhibit by blues photographer, Eyd Kazery, will be on display in the Fine Arts Gallery throughout the week. All events are free and open to the public. For more information, contact Dr. Bobby Cooper at 601.885.7079.

April 19 3 p.m. The Utica Campus Choir and local church choirs present a concert in the Fine Arts Building.

April 20 1:30 p.m. Sandra Howard Productions present the drama, "Sisters," in the Fine Arts Building.

April 21 12:45 p.m. Jackson State University music faculty, lyric soprano Phyllis Lewis Hale and pianist Dr. Karen Laubengayer, present classical music in the Fine Arts Building.

April 22 10:30 a.m. Ballet Magnificat will perform in the Fine Arts Building.

April 23 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  A health fair will be held in the Fine Arts Building and adjacent parking lot. The event is sponsored by the Vicksburg Chapter of Links, Incorporated.

April 24 11:30 a.m. Dr. Fulton Caston and Company will conduct "Jazz on the Plaza" along with dance performances from the Utica Campus dance class in the William H. Holtzclaw Library Plaza.
