Raymond High School student Emily Stubbs, left, and her mom Kim Stubbs were among students at the March 26 Preview Night. They're talking with instructor Terry Parrish, right. Stubbs said she is interested in Hinds' nursing program. Hinds Community College graduates the most nursing students of any college or university in Mississippi. Hinds nursing students score higher than the state average pass rate on the state licensure exam for registered nurses. Hinds offers the Associate Degree Nursing program at three locations in Jackson, Pearl and Vicksburg. Hinds also offers an accelerated Transition to RN program for licensed practical nurses, paramedics and respiratory therapists.

More than 450 prospective students and parents attended the first of two Hinds Preview Nights on Thursday, March 26. The first Preview Night was on the Raymond Campus.
The second Preview Night is 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 31 on the Rankin Campus. Preview Night is being combined with a special 25th anniversary celebration on the Rankin Campus in Pearl. The event is being moved into the George Wynne Building on the back of the campus because of expected rain.
Preview Night offers a chance for prospective students, whether traditional high school graduates or older students coming back to school, to learn what they need to know about registration, financial aid and housing and even about student organizations such as student government, college publications and Honors. They can also enter drawings for $200 in textbooks.
More than 70 booths showcase the best Hinds has to offer at all six locations. Hinds faculty and students are on hand to talk about academic and career-technical programs.
