Hinds athletics unveils cyber facelift

12/19/07 - Hinds Community College has a brand new athletics Web site that will enhance the entire sports program at the college. The new site is listed on the World Wide Web as http://www.hindsccsports.com/.

The new athletics Web site features such things as photo galleries, media guides, multimedia pages, facility information and updated scores and news releases.

"We are very excited about rolling out the new Web site for athletics," Hinds Sports Information Director Dan Rives said. "This will be a great recruiting tool for future student-athletes, along with letting the general public know how successful our athletics programs are at Hinds."

Hindsccsports.com is also linked through iTunes U, a multimedia server where visitors can go online and hear interviews and watch highlight videos of the many sports teams at Hinds. They can even download the files to their personal media players. Hinds Community College is the first school in the state of Mississippi to offer the world its content on iTunes U.

"The revamped athletics Web site will be a great addition to the Hinds Community College Web presence," Hinds Web Specialist Barin von Foregger said. "The potential of the site is unlimited, and I'm hoping future student-athletes of Hinds will use and enjoy the site. I think this could help propel the athletics programs to a new level in JUCO competition."
