Fresenius donates training equipment to Hinds
10/23/07 RAYMOND, Miss. - Fresenius Medical Care in Jackson recently donated training equipment to the Hinds Community College American Heart Training Center housed at the Jackson Campus-Nursing/Allied Health Center.
With the addition of nursing programs at the Vicksburg-Warren and Rankin campuses, the Training Center is attempting to increase the number of courses in Basic Life Support (CPR), said Rebecca Davidson, coordinator of continuing education and of the Training Center.
Students in the Basic Life Support classes need the use of the training equipment to effectively learn the skills. Expanding the programs means more equipment - including adult, child and infant devices - is required.
Fresenius Medical Care's donation will assist Hinds in reaching its goals of expanding the course offerings, Davidson said.
