10/17/07 – The Hinds Community College men’s and women’s soccer teams will both play host to the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) state tournaments this weekend. Both Hinds teams earned the right to host by winning their respective North divisions. The Eagles will be looking to repeat as state champions for the fourth consecutive year, while the Lady Eagles will go for their unprecedented ninth title in the past 10 seasons.

The tournament will get under way on Saturday, Oct. 20, at 12 p.m. at Tom Shepherd Field on the Hinds campus. The tournament schedule is as follows: 

Saturday, Oct. 20
12 p.m. South #1 vs. North #2 (Women) - Meridian Community College vs. Itawamba Community College
2 p.m. South #1 vs. North #2 (Men) – MS Gulf Coast Community College vs. Itawamba Community College
4 p.m. North #1 vs. South #2 (Women) – Hinds Community College vs. MS Gulf Coast Community College
6 p.m. North #1 vs. South #2 (Men) – Hinds Community College vs. Meridian Community College 

Sunday, Oct. 21
2 p.m. Women’s third place game
4 p.m. Women’s championship game
6 p.m. Men’s championship game
