Electrical TechnologyHinds Community College in Vicksburg has grown from serving primarily high school career-technical students from the Vicksburg Warren School District to a campus that now offers students the opportunity to obtain an Associate of Arts degree, Associate of Applied Science degree and career-technical training for high school students and adults.

The campus offers a full schedule of academic courses day and night, as well as hybrid courses that combine classroom and online instruction.
Students may take advantage of the computer lab where tutors are available offering assistance in English and Math.

High school students can get ahead through dual enrollment or dual credit courses by enrolling in Hinds Community College courses while still in high school. Check with a High school or Hinds counselor for more information.


Student ActivitiesWith class sizes no larger than 25, the Vicksburg Campus full-time and adjunct instructors mentor their students, provide real world experiences in their classes and challenge students in their preparation for the 21st century workforce.

Student Activities

Students enjoy a small campus environment with opportunity for involvement in Phi Theta Kappa, Student Government, Phi Beta Lambda, and MSLPN.
A student may graduate in Practical Nursing, begin working as an PN, and complete a RN degree without leaving this campus.

Work-Based Learning and Cooperative Education provide students the opportunity to receive credit for working in local industries directly related to their college programs of study.
