Academic Search Premier

This multi-disciplinary database provides full text for nearly 4,500 journals, including full text for more than 3,600 peer-reviewed titles. PDF backfiles to 1975 or further are available for well over one hundred journals, and searchable cited references are provided for 1,000 titles. Academic Search Premier is updated on a daily basis via EBSCOhost.

Alt Health Watch

This database focuses on the many perspectives of complementary, holistic and integrated approaches to health care and wellness. It offers libraries full text articles for nearly 180 international, and often peer-reviewed journals and reports. In addition, there are hundreds of pamphlets, booklets, special reports, original research and book excerpts. Alt HealthWatch provides in-depth coverage across the full spectrum of subject areas covered by complementary and alternative medicine.

General Science Collection

This database offers full text coverage for more than 60 of the most popular science publications. Providing information on all aspects of the scientific world, the General Science Collection offers full text information dating back as far as 1992.

Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition

This database provides nearly 550 scholarly full text journals focusing on many medical disciplines. Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition also features abstracts and indexing for nearly 850 journals. This database is updated twice a week.

The Mississippi Electronic Libraries On-line (MELO) is a virtual library developed by Missisippi librarians to meet the academic needs of distance learning within the Mississippi community and junior colleges. It is composed of online databases, electronic books and journals, and scholarly web sites.

Electronic journals are chiefly secured through the college's paid subscriptions to the print versions of the titles. Because services such as Ebsco's EJS and IngentaSelect require IP recognition, library users must be on Hinds network computers.
