Orchestra and String Ensembles
String players at Hinds have varied performance opportunities. They perform as a string orchestra which accompanies the choir and concerto soloists as well as performs string orchestra literature. They participate in the Metropolitan Chamber Orchestra; a full orchestra that performs in downtown Jackson.
They also play duets, trios, and quartets if they sign up for Small String Ensemble. More advanced players also participate in numerous paying gigs in the greater Jackson area.
