Scholarship amounts may vary according to the amount of Student Loan, Federal or State grant money already awarded.

The following scholarships and service stipends are open to new and currently enrolled students on the Raymond Campus of Hinds Community College. The number of scholarships or service stipends available depends on the number of applicants and their qualifications. Scholarship recipients are selected based on the following criteria:

• Academic achievement
• Volunteerism/public service
• Critical thinking ability
• Potential to make a significant contribution to field of study and/or society
• Leadership
• Appreciation for the arts and humanities

Honors Scholarships $150-$300/semester
The Honors Program offers outstanding education and fulfilling experiences to persons who demonstrate potential and desire for superior achievement. A climate of intellectual stimulation and challenge is fostered allowing students and faculty to integrate ideas, themes, and course content with creativity, depth, and sophistication throughout the student's education at Hinds Community College.

Leadership Development Scholarships $200-$500/semester
Students interested in theoretical and applied leadership training may apply for the Leadership Development Scholarships. Scholarships are awarded at the end of the semester based upon completion of all requirements.

Service Scholar Stipends $200-$500/semester
Students interested in being involved in their community and receiving education stipends in exchange for tutoring/mentoring are encouraged to apply. All Service Scholars receive a Service Stipend at the completion of their service.
Learning Partner - 28 hours/semester
Peer Coach - 70 hours/semester

International Study Scholarships $250-$1,500/year
Students who are interested in international study and have a desire to explore and study other countries are encouraged to apply.
