Business Technology
Business Technology is ideal for students who wish to improve their employment opportunities. It is designed to help one take the first steps toward a business or office related career. Upon completion, the students will be prepared for work in automated and virtual environments. Essential skills and competencies are developed with emphasis on being successful in the workplace. Successful students learn specific office skills, teamwork, accountability, productivity, flexibility and how to effectively adapt to changing technology.
The mission of the Business Technology Department of Hinds Community College Jackson Campus Academic/Technical Center is to provide students with the technology, communications, and interpersonal skills needed for employability in the business, legal and allied health fields and to prepare students for transfer to a senior college.
