Karen Robbins is an instructor in the Business Administration Department. She holds an undergraduate degree from Mississippi State University and an MBA from Mississippi College. The courses she teaches are Microcomputer Applications and Introduction to Business. Her office is located in Dukes Riggs Hall 109 on the Raymond campus.
Mrs. Robbins has received the Marketing Award in the large business category from the Mississippi Business Journal. She was selected as one of Mississippi's 50 Leading Business Women and was awarded selection to Top 40 Under 40. In addition to teaching, she has worked with the economic development arm of the college.
Courses Taught
Microcomputer Applications — an in-depth introduction to the primary components of an information system and to microcomputer software packages used in business including word processing, spreadsheet, database management, presentations, data entry and retrieval, records management, and electronic communication.
Introduction to Business — an overview of business knowledge in topics such as the motives and functions of business, business ethics, economic conditions, forms of business ownership, entrepreneurship, management, and distribution and promotion of products.
