Student Services
The Student Services employees at Hinds Community College endeavor to establish rapport and to build citizenship skills among all students and student groups, striving to make each student a participating member of the College community and of our country. The various departments of Student Services work together to provide teamwork that complements and supports the student and instructors in academic, technical, career and continuing education programs of the college.
Student Affairs/Deans of Students
The area of Student Affairs is one of the key administrative divisions of the College. Through its various personnel the office is generally responsible for all phases of student life. The area of Student Affairs offers a broad spectrum of services as well as cultural, recreational and social activities to students and staff members.
Support Services
Through the offices of Disability Support Services (DSS) and the Raymond Campus Services for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (D/HH), students who self-identify and provide official documentation of a disability may qualify for support services. These accommodations include note-taking, tutoring, testing, and interpreting; adaptive technology and classroom modifications. Student Housing/Residence Halls
Residence life allows a student to become a part of a special group of students. While living in a residence hall, students learn from and become involved with other students, developing friendships that will last a lifetime. Hinds offers residence living at the Raymond and Utica campuses. You are encouraged to apply by April 15. Call (601) 857-3222.
