The Hinds Community College alumni came out strong last Saturday, forcing the current Lady Eagles into overtime, before the 2008 squad finished them off, 3-2.

Alumni came out strong and forced HCC into overtime before the Lady Eagles would finish the game.

"We had eight alumni show and I mixed some Hinds players with the alumni team for us to have our fun scrimmage game," Coach Kori Babb said. "I am glad to see the alumni come out despite the weather conditions. Hopefully we can generate more interest next year."

Nadia Baltazar (2006-2007 All-Region) and Stephanie Little (2003-2004 All-American) scored the 2 goals for the alumni and Kendal Lee scored all 3 goals for the Lady Eagles.

The Hinds women's soccer team improved to 3-0 in North division play last Thursday afternoon, defeating the Itawamba Community College Lady Indians, 3-0.

Deslyn Langaigne of Victoria, Grenada, continued her hot streak, scoring two goals and dishing out an assist.
 
Kendal Lee of Clinton added the other goal to go along with an assist, while Lucy Matthews of Vicksburg added the final assist.
 
Jessie Dotson of Terry received another shut out for her performance in goal.
