The men's soccer team played two out-of-state opponents at a neutral site this weekend, winning one and losing one. The Eagles beat Gordon College (Ga.), 2-1, and were defeated by Wallace State (Ala.), 2-1. Both games were played on the campus of Meridian Community College.
In the Gordon game, Michael Cooper of Vicksburg and Brandt Sutton of Brandon were the goal scorers. Cooper and Tucker Hood of Brandon provided assists for the Eagles.
In the Wallace game, Marcelo Lima of Fortaleza, Brazil, was the lone goal scorer. Hinds led the game up to the 80 minute mark, before giving up two goals in less than 10 minutes for the loss.
The Eagles are now 9-2 and still undefeated against Mississippi opponents.
Hinds will travel to Fulton to take on Itawamba Community College on Wednesday.
